  • My daughter in law is a teacher at a school in Milton Keynes, she teaches various subjects but sewing is one of them, and she is passionate about getting her children to learn the rudiments of sewing. You never know when you might need to put a button back on!!

  • I am 34 and I was taught at school. The local secondary school teaches sewing and textiles. It’s still around, and being taught. Xx

  • I am passing on my sewing knowledge and skills to my niece am no expert myself but she is being imaginative and creative as she is a young 14year old talented artist and is incorporating these skills into her sewing. she is taking art and textiles at school and she is the only one doing sewing for her final exam. we are both on a challenge to make a jacket this half term, it is bringing out my creativity too as am appliqueing flowers front and back.

  • I have been a subscriber for a number of years and have never been disappointed with your magazine.I always enter for the Giveaways never been lucky but maybe one day. Can anyone tell me how to enter the Crafters Companion fabric bundle? Icant find it on the entry form . Thankyou.

  • I love sewing I’ve done it as long as I remember if I needed a new dress to go out in I had to make one I am almost 72 and still sew now, when I worked I sewed upholstery ,And have also made my daughter in laws Wedding dress and my daughters as well,

  • I love it when my 7yr old granddaughter comes to stay with Me. As she likes to get her sewing machine out (which I bought when she was just 4yrd old) it’s a lovely machine that has a safeguard around the needle. She loves to make cushions for her to put on her bed. Last year she made pencil cases for herself and friends. As we live 200+ miles apart. I cherish the time together more than ever. I hope She will love to keep sewing as she gets older, and take it into her adult hood
