When you are just beginning to learn to sew it’s important to start off with simple patterns that help you to gradually learn the techniques you’ll need once you move on to more complex dressmaking and sewing.
Trying anything too complicated can end up with you getting frustrated and you can also waste good fabric – which is a definite no no!

The aim is to be able to sew a garment that you feel confident wearing. The last thing you want is to feel self concious because you know you’ve made all kinds of mistakes.
