Free Sewing Patterns for Babies and New Parents

We’re back with more ideas for sewing up gifts for babies and new parents.

Did you spot the gorgeous romper suit project by Russell & Bawden in Issue 14 of Love Sewing magazine?  It’s a great project which shows you how with just a bit of greaseproof paper and a little dress to trace the pattern from, you can create this baby tunic and bloomers set. All baby girls should be dressed in classic Liberty print!

Not too long ago we shared a post with 5 Cute Baby Gifts to Sew but we thought it was time we highlighted a few more of the fabulous free tutorials from sewing bloggers that we’ve been adding to our Pinterest boards.

We just love the fact that Sabra from Sew a Straight line is out on a ‘dirt track’ in her high heels with a toddler and this gorgeous handmade nappy bag.  She says she’s moved on from the  huge nappy bags in this post but we think this would make a great gift for a new mum.  It’s just that bit bigger than a standard handbag – find the free tutorial here, the post is from back in 2010 but still looks great to us – Bag Tutorial
